Strength in Uncertainty
Two things are true about uncertainty. First, it can be intimidating. The mystery of not knowing what will happen is often scary. When You're Overwhelmed
Psalm 42 is a passage that I recommend Christian people revisit on a regular basis. Not only have I have preached from the psalm many times in my years of ministry, but I have visited it in personal times of need, confusion, and desperation. Christians Aren't Victims: Overcoming Victim Mentality
Christians Aren't Victims An unfortunate and often devastating fact of life is that people will sometimes hurt you. They may mistreat and misunderstand you. The victim mindset will hurt you far worse than whatever the villains in your life have done to you. A person who tells himself that he is a victim is also a perso

How to be Strong in Uncertainty
How to be Strong in Uncertainty Uncertainty can be intimidating. Not knowing what’s going to happen is often scary. You feel like you’re free-falling through life. Maybe your uncertainty is financial. “How am I going to pay the bills? What if I lose my job?” Maybe your uncertainty is relational. “What if my spouse leaves me in death or through divorce? Or what if the relationship with one of my children deteriorates?” Human relationships can sometimes be extremely volatile an
