Who is My Enemy?
Is it right or wrong for a Christian to have enemies? This may be a clumsy way to ask the question, but it gets us thinking. No, we might say; Christians are not allowed to go out and create enemies out of strangers, or to do things we know will create resentment in another person. Our job is to live peaceably with all men (Rom. 12:18). If someone is really upset with us, we are to respond to their evil with good (Rom. 12:21).

A United Message
As Pastor Johnson often says, the first rule of public speaking is that the speaker should consider his audience. Failure to observe this principle can distract from an otherwise true or compelling message to the point that not a single person remembers it afterwards. We can all recall times we sat under speakers who did not consider their audience; no doubt it makes for an entertaining story. Preparing for Martyrdom
One of the reasons we have Strength for Life is to help prepare Christians for potential martyrdom. Bring Back Spiritual Swagger
Spiritual swagger is good, and all Christians should have it. If you regularly listen to Strength for Life content or NorthStone Baptist Church sermons, you have heard the term “spiritual swagger” as a synonym for God-confidence. The redeemed should be confident enough to confront civil authorities, like John the Baptist did when he confronted Herod about his adultery. “It is not lawful for thee to have her,” he told the civil magistrate in Matthew 14:4.

Are Christians Phobic?
Over the years I have had numerous articles published in secular newspapers. I have had the privilege to write opinion editorials for newspapers like the Indianapolis Star, the Muncie Star Press, and the Pensacola News Journal, to name a few. In those articles I addressed a variety of topics. Sometimes the topic of article was something I support, like Christian education or Christmas.

Shame on Drag Queens
We live in a God-designed world where shame can be distributed, but it cannot be destroyed. Cities like ours have two options: shame the drag performers by using our influence to get their local performance canceled, or bring shame onto ourselves by allowing them proceed with their presentation in the face of our gospel presence.
