National Day of Prayer

Updated: Nov 18, 2022

On this National Day of Prayer, let's consider Paul's prayer for the Ephesian Christians. Interestingly, it's a prayer for spiritual and mental strength. Paul prays that the Ephesian believers will be strengthened in their inner man.

Would you pray Paul's prayer right now and ask God to strengthen you in the same way?

If so, pray the following...

Heavenly Father,

According to the riches of your glory, please allow us to be strengthened with might by your Spirit in our inner man; that Christ may dwell in our hearts by faith; that we, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and depth and height; and to know the love of Christ which passeth knowledge that we might be filled with all the fullness of God.

Now unto Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, unto Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end.

Father, thank you in advance for how you will strengthen our hearts in these many ways, in Jesus name we pray,

Amen.
