Transgender Violence Trends

Transgender Violence Trends

Robert Westman was a Minnesota resident and a proud member of the LGBTQ community. He grew up with both of his parents in the home, who were active supporters of his transgender feelings. Robert also had extended family in Minnesota politics who openly advocated for transgender inclusion. We often hear that the reason the transgender community is such a mess is that they don't have enough people around them supporting and affirming them. But just last week, Robin Westman walked into a Catholic school dressed in all black and shot over a dozen kids, killing two. If this story sounds familiar to you, it should. The transgender community has been disproportionately responsible for many recent mass shootings and killings, and it’s time we stopped ignoring the facts.

Last summer, a self-identified transgender man named Jared Revisa went into an AMC movie theater and stabbed four girls. He then fled and stabbed two more people. Last summer, however, when the news covered the story, they conveniently neglected to mention that Jared Revisa was a member of the LGBTQ community. They covered the story extensively but left out details that didn't fit their narrative.

It is evident the media cares more about protecting the LGBTQ community than they do about bringing justice to the victims of these violent crimes. It does not take a genius to notice the trend of violence from the LGBTQ community and the subsequent silence from media outlets. This is a concerted attempt by evil men and women to promote wicked ideologies while blatantly ignoring the consequences of those ideologies.

In 2018, an individual named Nokia Mosley, who was a self-identified transgender person, killed several people in Maryland, to which prosecutors noted, “She had been beset for years over her struggle with sexual identity.”

In 2019, a self-identified transgender boy named Alec McKinney shot up a school and left one student dead and several more injured. McKinney said that she wanted to kill her classmates because they didn't respect her gender identity. In 2022, Anderson Lee Aldrich shot up a nightclub, killing five people and injuring 26. In 2023, an individual named Kim Brady killed five people and injured two children when he opened fire in Philadelphia. In the same year, a trans-identifying mass shooter killed three 9-year-old children and three adults at Covenant Christian School in Tennessee, and then in 2024, a man named Colin Bailey, who pretended to be a woman, killed both of his parents and showed no remorse.

And this is just to name a few. It is more than obvious that the transgender community is disproportionately committing violent crimes.

If you still don't believe me and think I'm just making stuff up, here's a graphic that shows violent crimes from 2015 to 2025 with four or more fatalities. This graphic is the percentage per capita of violent crimes based on their self-identified community. As you can see, the transgender/non-binary categories are disproportionately more violent than any other category of people.

There will still be some who deny the facts that I just laid out, but no amount of gerrymandering of the data can deny the truth that the transgender community is disproportionately more violent than every other community. Instead of asking why this is, the media tries to hide it, and people are scared to talk about it. But let's ask the question: Why is it?

#1: Transgenderism is a blasphemous sin.

The Bible says very clearly that sin brings about death. Sin brings spiritual death but also physical death. When Adam and Eve sinned in the garden, they did die spiritually but eventually they died physically. Sin and death have an inextricable link in the Bible that cannot be ignored. I can already feel the objections; someone is yelling at the screen, “Well, all sin brings death! How is this different?” Transgenderism is different because it is an ideology that is a direct assault on God's created order. Transgenderism is a blasphemous sin because it says, "I am the God of my life, and I get to determine who I really am." And “My Identity” is the blasphemous idol of transgenderism. For a man to transition into a woman and for a woman to transition into a man is to blaspheme the God that made gender. We know from Scripture, specifically the Old Testament, that God doesn't take kindly to people blaspheming his name. When individuals in the Old Testament would commit acts of blasphemy against Yahweh, he judged swiftly, and that judgment often resulted in death, and not just the death of the individual who blasphemed. So why is transgenderism such a deadly philosophy? Because it's a blasphemous sin that the creator God deals with very seriously. Not only that but also...

#2: There is a link between sexual immorality and violence.

Recently, my dad has been preaching through the Book of Genesis, and he just recently preached Genesis Chapter 6. If you're familiar with that chapter, you will know that in that chapter, there is both sexual immorality (verse 4) and violence (verse 11). Transgenderism is sexual immorality that will always lead to violence. Individuals in the LGBTQ lifestyle have a much higher rate of suicide or self-harm due to this truth. But whether they're inflicting violence on themselves or others, it is true that the Bible makes a clear connection between depraved sexual acts and the violence that is soon to follow. Not only these two things, but why is transgenderism such a deadly ideology?

#3: Lying doesn't help.

Up until the last few decades, transgenderism was rightly viewed as a very serious mental disorder. Until recent history, transgender individuals were said to have a mental illness. Turns out they were right. But what modern culture has done is not point out the illness and try to seek help for them; what our culture has done is it has affirmed the disorder and further compounded it. The LGBTQ community will say that it is not loving to not affirm a transgender individual's transition. But genuinely, there is no more loving thing to do than to tell a transgender individual the truth about their situation. The hateful thing to do is to tell someone with a disorder that they are fine. Imagine if you were to walk into a doctor's office and your body is riddled with cancer, but yet the doctor says to you with a half-smile on his face, “You look good!” We all would agree that doctor should never be a doctor again and he should probably go to jail for lying to you about the reality of your condition. Since mental illnesses are more difficult to quantify, culture hesitates to take that approach, but that approach is necessary. To lie to a transgender person is to be culpable in the death and destruction that follows. Affirmation is also an idol of transgenderism, and Christians must not bow.

Transgenderism needs to be eradicated from all forms of society. It must be rooted out. That is not to say that transgender people should be slaughtered, just like if I were to say that cancer should be eradicated, I am not calling for the mass murder of cancer patients. We ought to treat the individuals involved in a transgender lifestyle with the grace and truth that was meted to each of us when we accepted Jesus Christ and the gospel. Transgenderism truly is a deadly ideology that needs to be dealt with swiftly before more transgender people kill themselves or other people. It will only be a matter of months before we turn on the TV again and see another mass shooting or a serious violent crime from a transgender individual. But until then, recognize that your mission field is in desperate need of the gospel, and let these startling realities motivate your furtherance of the gospel in your mission field.

Whose job is it to stand for truth and call out sin? If the Christian does not call out sin in the culture, who will? This past Sunday, Pastor Johnson courageously stood against a Drag Queen Christmas event that will be held in Pensacola in December.
