The calendar tells us that today is Earth Day. This day provides an opportunity for Christians to look at God’s creation and to thank Him for the beauty of this earth.
Thank Him for creating the sun and the moon which provide day and night for the earth.
Praise Him for the size of the oceans across the planet. About 71% of the Earth’s surface is water. Yet, consider the land that God created with the beautiful grass, flowers, and fruit trees. Rejoice in the blessings of the seasons; winter, spring, summer, and fall.
Marvel at the birds of the air, and the fish in the sea. Consider the cattle and the majestic beasts of the Earth.
And, with all that in mind, remember that God describes the Earth as His “footstool.“ Isn’t that incredible? As big and as glorious as the Earth is to us, it is merely God’s footstool.
What a mighty God we serve!
On Earth Day and everyday, rejoice in His creation!
